    Re: trunk speakers

on the monsoon system, I believe the speakers in the hatch at 4x6, but don't waste your money upgrading them. They are fill speakers and they don't even do a good job at that. The sound staging for them isn't proper, so most just eliminate them.

They are 4" with a tweeter. Most people replace them with 4x6 though. They fit, with some cutting.

The rears are 4". But I wouldn't even worry about them. Disconnect them and call it a day. Oh and Circuit City does carry every speaker size. Even if they're not on the display board. Just ask. 100% positive they carry Pioneer 4" speakers...maybe some others as well.

And the factory headunit does not come with an AUX in of any kind. Some interface modules are offered however....

it has the aux unit just wondering what wire was used for it

i might just disconnect the trunk speakers because it doesnt happen often but after about 10 min of the radio being on it starts getting static

.... well that info might have been a little helpful in your first post.... lol

The faceplate just has a 3.5mm minijack connection on it. Exact same as a headphone jack. So what you need is a minijack to minijack cable. Looks like a headphone plug on both ends. Plug one end into the faceplate and the other into your headphone jack on your MP3 player. Circuit city, Best Buy, Radio Shack all sells them.

That means it is a 4x50w so get some speakers than can handle 50w peak. Read the manual that came with the head unit to see what the output specs are.
