    Re: custom sub box

They sound surprisingly awesome. I have a close friend with a 10" JL W0 in that location with 300WRMS going to it. Pretty gosh dang loud for a single 10" @300W I must admit. Search the board. You'll find tons of feedback on it. I can't remember how the stock CD changer holds in place, but if it has permanent bolts sticking up there..... then you will obviously need to remove them.:)

        Re: custom sub box

I put in a subthump box with a alpine type R DVC running off my PPI 2300am amp(getting alitttle over 300 rms to each voice coil) and it's enough bass for me. I put a piece of metal stripping on the top of the box and screwd the metal stripping to the box and then to the car. So it won't slide out on heavy turns. I down graded from two 12" kicker solo barics, just got tired of too much bass and the heaviness of the box and subs. The single 10" provides a good amount of bass for my needs.
