Buildin a new system need some suggestions. .. ..
Previous system was a stock monsoon HU, stock speakers all around, 1600 watt performance technik amp(i know i know) and 2 12" fosgate H.E. Subs.

Didnt sound too bad(for a week) then the stocks blew out! this time around im focusing on SQ rather than straight bass. I really really really wanna run all alpine but ive heard of better quality and less expensive brands but im pretty set on alpine but i highly open to suggestions. I need a HU, 6 speakers, 1-10" sub, and 2 amps HI&LO.

for subs i have Two 10" MTX and a 600 watt amp would highly recommend and four 6.5" polk speakers powered by a four chanel jenson amp. and it was only 650 for the equipment.

So ive got a list now. .. ..

HU- Pioneer DEH-P7700MP i already have this head unit

      Speakers
      (front) Alpine SPS-600C Component
      (Back Seat) Apline SPS-17C2 2-way
      (Rear) Alpine SPS-10CS

      Amps
      (HIs) Alpine MRP-F250
      (Sub)Alpine MRP-M850

      Sub
      Alpine Type R 4 OHM
      JBL P1024
      JL Audio 10W3v3
(unsure on which sub to choose)

Anybody have any experiance with any of those components, if so how well did they perform. I plan on slowly hunting and picking these items on ebay. To me it SEEMS like a solid system, but i havent had personal experiance with any of them so feed back would be cool.

        Re: New System Build

I have a Type-R sitting in my closet now. Loved it. Awesome for the money. Switched all my equipment and was able to get my new (different size) subs for practically nothing. So it's just collecting dust now.

I'd ditch the hatch speaker altogether. Not only will they make no difference while you're in the driver's seat..... they won't even be powered off an amp. So this even strengthens my point. Save the money and time.

Check out www.knukonceptz.com for your wiring. They make quality stuff. Don't let the prices fool you. I've been using them for years now. Don't forget the GM side post battery terminal to add your power wire on the battery. Knukonceptz has them for like 4 or 5 bucks I think.

              Re: New System Build

Everybody says the rear speakers dont do anything but i cut out bigger holes and added polk 5x7's and they make a huuuuuuuuuge difference. So i suggest you try that. Also, if you have the hatch open, it doesnt hurt to show off the sound quality to people so they are good for that too

The fronts should be 6.5"? Atleast, they are in my 97 Camaro....
