can you put two 12s....

on TOP of the trunk shelf area? I rode my bike to work today so I can't run out and check how much space there is, but i think it would work length and width wise....but how DEEP would a box have to be for a standard 12'' sub to fit? I'd like to keep my t-top racks available; dont mind putting the tops in the back seats, but what if i want to take 3-4 ppl some where, or what if i'm in a wreck and have 20 lb slabs of glass bobbing around? if anyone has done this with 12's please post a pic :drool:

Naugh. But it's been around awhile. A lot of people have them and are very happy with them. Yes that is the price without subs. however, they do sell them with subs as well. Elemental Designs I believe. Which is a very good brand. Just as good or better than anything you can buy at CC or BB.

Yes it is very possible. In fact very soon i will have a two 12" Kicker CompVR's in a sealed box in that area. my brother is giving me his subs and box. His box is the same size as mine is currently. only black, and his subs are centered instead of offset like mine since i have my amp mounted in the middle.

Like i said his box is the same size as mine which i believe to be. W-37",H-9",D-14" right now that is a rough estimate i'll update later when i can measure. So imagine two 12's in my box....


BTW: very soon i will be selling either the black box (my brothers) or the gray box (mine) as soon as i decide which box i want to use, if ur interested pm me.

Not a good idea, it blocks the rear-view mirror. Then again, with my tint I can't see out of it at night anyways. :P

aye; indeed. will you be selling JUST the box or the subs and/or amp and/or wiring? I guess I would prefer to just get the ones that go in the ttop area, cuz it looks cleaner, but if you're offering a package deal then that may be a factor...lemme know bud; any idea when youll be doing that besides "very soon"? "very soon" i may have some money ;)

:bs: Actually i can see perfectly out of my rear view mirror, in fact, i believe the box could be a full inch or two higher and still not intrude on the rear view.

jmmullin: it depends on whether or not i feel just two 12" are enough. if so then i'll just use my brothers box and subs and buy another amp, and sell the whole thing as one piece. If i still want more after testing it, i'll keep my gray box and cut the holes to fit the 12's and cut a third 10" hole in between. In which case i would be selling the subs, amp and 12's box separate. gimme a week n i'll let u kno.
