I was wondering what I should do concerning my system. I currently have a Sony XM 2002 GTR pushing two 12" sony subs. Just trying to get some opinions on if i should buy two kenwood KFC-W3011 sill being pushed by the same amp. Or should I just keep my money and put it somewhere else?

Im not really liking the Sony Subs there not very sensitive and on like songs with simple bass the sound gets all kind of out of wack in a sense. Im looking for something that will make the bass defined. Any other sub suggestions would be helpful.

The RMS and other specs do match. They are compatible in that respect. Just simple question do you think they are worth it?

my setup is a kicker kx 750.1 amp pushing one 10' kicker l7 in a stealth enclosure and it sounds phenomenal, save your money and ditch the sony, kenwood isnt very good for bass either

Hello Michael F! I saw your question on Yahoo.

I have to agree with triskit. Sony and Kenwood are both mid grade brands for car audio subwoofers. Alpine or Kicker are both a step above. Maybe not "high end", but certainly better quality all the way around. And honestly Sony makes terrible amps too. (not to mention you're trying to use a 2-channel amp to power two 4 ohm svc subs lol)

Save up $400 and buy a pair of Alpine Type-Rs and a Hifonics Brutus amp off Ebay. Dominant anything else for that price.

yea I know its a little mediocre to have a 2-channel amp push two 4 ohm subs. But im only 17 and bought what I could afford, sacrificing quality in the process was something I was willing to live with until a couple a days ago. I got bored with the jumbled bass, and want something that will really push. Im currently saving money to add performance parts to my car but I think ill put that on hold and buy the two alpines and the Brutus like you recommended it does sound like a decent setup.

I dno, for some reason those specs seem messed up. I usually dont like those packages because they make it look like a really good deal.

Eh. Lanzar is a flea-market brand. We all know it won't do a full 2,000WRMS like it's rated, but it would still pump out plenty of juice to push the L7s. My main worry would just be regarding the longevity of the amp itself.

You need the dual 4 ohm Type-R's:
                http://cgi.ebay.com/2-NEW-07-ALPINE-...QQcmdZViewItem

                And a 1-ohm stable amp:
                http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BRUTUS-...QQcmdZViewItem
Submit a best offer for $165 and I bet he takes it.

Go with the L7's and the Hifonics amp if you like. They'll be more expensive, but maybe a touch louder. Honestly, I've owned both... and the Type-R has better frequency response given all else equal. IMO, it's an all around better subwoofer. I'd still be using them if I got them for the same prices as I get Kicker gear. (nickels on the dollar) Again, get the dual 4 ohm version with whichever you decide.
