So I put in some new Infinity Reference speakers in the sail panels, but when the bass hits they rattle. What can I do to keep them from doing that?

turn down the bass. What do you have powering them? Do you have "loudness" on? Is it the speaker or the surrounding rattling?

I had a shop put mine in mostly because i was lazy and didnt want to add amps to my stock radio...but anyways, they didnt screw them in very good, and it was difficult trying to get the screws in good after i took them out to fix them. (yea, 400 for an install and i have to fix it.) You just gotta make sure they are screwed in there as best as you can. If im wrong im going to sound like an idiot but i think the stock speakers are a little larger than 6 1/2 if thats what you added. goodluck.

They are indeed 6 3/4", but it makes no difference. Use a little effort and a completely solid mount is easily possible with any 6 1/2" speaker. Make new holes with self tapping screws.

Try removing the plastic covers over the rear speakers and roll with that for a minute. See if they are what is causing the rattling.

Someone should make a write up of how to make a mount for it if they have done it. A lot of people will probably benefit from it.

That ended up being it. I took them back out and used some larger screws that fit the holes I drilled a little bit better and it sounds a 100 times better. Thanks guys.
