  • What stops the inside rattling?

I have 2 12'' Subs in my camaro. I was wondering if I can buy something or maybe tighten some screws that would stop all that extra rattling? Im can't even listen to my music without all that extra noise.

Gotta know where it's coming from my man. There isn't a couple magic screws you can tighten to fix everything. A common place is the tail lights, license plate and the hatch itself. Put a little foam weather stripping on the back of the license plate. Ensure the plastic wing nuts along the back wall of the hatch are tightened down well. (For the tail lights) If I'm remembering right, you can actually move the hook that locks the hatch down. Move it down an 1/8" so the hatch will close tighter. Also, I've seen the plastic paneling around the glass on the hatch it self vibrate like crazy. Wedge something in between there. Beyond that, find the rattling pieces and wedge something in between the panels so they don't rattle against each other. Do what you do. Different with every car.

Not sure how it would work with the hatch but some good sound deadening might work?

The only reason sound deadening will help would be the added weight on the particular offending panel. Not the best solution for the problem we have here.

I can't think of what it's called , but I had some bad rattling problems near my latch and my spare tire, so I bought a can of Expanding foam, spray it, let it sit and it expands quite a bit, fills in holes and gaps, I sprayed it all over the spare tire hardware, and near the latch, it expands as it drys and made my problem go away.

My system had almost no rattle.
