How hard is it to replace the power antenna in a 1997 firebird ? Are there any diagrams that show how to do this
    Thanks

ive looked at it before and it didnt seem too hard to do. if you havent looked yet just take off the inside plastic panel, remove the spare tire and take a look at it. doesnt seem too hard.

Looked at it and there is a rubber grommet on the inside of the fender that I can not get off and can't figure out if there is a nut that needs to be taken off under this grommet to get the antenna out. Any pictures or direction would be a great help, googled it and did not come up with anything
        Thanks

Get the replacement part - not hard to do.

If you are having trouble getting the old antenna off, do like I did (by mistake) - run your car through a car wash with the radio on. That'll loosen it right up.

There's a nut on the exterior of the car as well... right above the outer grommet...
