Re: amp problems??????
Theres a possibility you have a bad ground, Id check that first.
Make sure it's clean, tightly fastened and connected to the amp correctly.
Other problems could be the amp, or the headunit itself isnt functioning properly telling it when to turn on.
Give us more info, like amp specs and headunit.*Matt
Old people shouldnt use the internet.

Re: amp problems??????
We need more info....
Use a multimeter at the amp terminals. Test for battery power. Turn the car on. Test for +12V at the remote lead. If you instantly have voltage at the remote wire, the amp should kick on. Regardless of what else the problem could be, the amp will kick on once it receives the 12V remote trigger. If it's not kicking on with the remote trigger, the amp is screwed. If it does turn on, but you have no audio, there is no signal coming in from the RCAs.
Figure it out man. Not many things it could be.

Re: amp problems??????
Very possible. Power Acoustik is certainly not known for quality. But grab a multimeter and try to troubleshoot yourself. Measure the resistance from the ground terminal on the amp to the point you grounded on the chassis. Should read 0. The second you turn the headunit on, you should have +12V on battery and remote terminals. If you do and the amp is still not turning on, it's fugged.
