i'm in the process of tryin to get my system back to stock, and i wanna utilize the stock enclosure in the trunk to get some bass response. i know i cant get alot, but i dont listen to rap, so all i need is enough for bass guitar or a kick drum. I'm trying to figure out how i can eliminate the high's, and get only lows out of that lil enclosure...

Re: bose sub question...
Pretty sure the stock configuration already includes a lowpass crossover. But if you're not happy with it, you could make your own. If you're not that tech savvy, something like this:

Re: bose sub question...
The bose head unit has a built in cross over that puts just bass to the sub. Without the stock headunit, you get full range from the sub. I put in a passive crossover but it reduced the output and it was pretty lame. You might be able to find a 6.5" speaker that will get you better bass and use the same amp.

Re: bose sub question...
As sweet as that one would be, I'm not sure the Bose box has the depth available to mount it. It's been a while since I've seen inside a Bose sub box, but IIRC it was pretty shallow. You might take a tape measure to it and see if that would fit, because that would certainly give you better bass.

Re: bose sub question...
lol, i'd love to get a stealth box, but for now, money is the main decision point as to what i get lol...tryin to do the best with what i have available, ya know?
and Schlotzky, i really wouldnt mind a little less output from that speaker...my doors are run straight off the HU, and w/ that amp, the back speaker w/ all it's full rangy-ness drowns out my door speakers which sound alot better than the stocker i put in the trunk...i think i might try that lil low-pass, and see where things go from there...
