Re: back window breaking of a 15' sub
More than likely, It WILL NOT break the window. Unless you have a hairline crack, that it can go off of.
If you go to SPL competitions and ask around, if they have ever heard of breaking windows with bass, they will laugh & tell you it is impossible.
The only things I could Imagine seeing going wrong, is:
1. Your latch breaks (holding the hatch shut)
2. The windows seal around your hatch window gets worn and may come apart, But I doubt that too.*Matt

There wasn't someone nearby playing with a shot gun, was there?
The Mythbusters did a show similar to this. It theory, it is possibly to blow out windows, but you would need sound pressure in excess of 165bD to do so. You are going to need way more than a single 15 to displace that much air.Last edited by Bonemaro; 04-22-2008, 01:24 PM.

It may be different state to state..... and may be only for windshields.... but here in Florida, its covered pretty much no matter what and no deductible is needed. Dead serious. Glass is in a separate category. Truck tosses a rock on the highway and chips your windshield? It's free. With any insurance.
