Have a mrp-m850 alpine amp. 1 10" type r. Should i run it at 2 or 4 ohms. Im looking for clear bass that sounds good(no rattling)

I'm assuming you have a single dual 4ohm type-r. If this is the case you won't be able to run it at 4ohm. Unless you plan on running two of those amps using one for each coil. Wire it in parallel at 2ohm.

ok basically depeneding on how hard your pushing 2ohm or 4 ohm your gunna get rattle just get dynamat to insulatae your car and you will have minium rattle but 2 ohm usally hits the best depeending on your Amp if its 2 ohm stable

You fail :| At spelling and grammar. Power output all depends on the amp. I've had amps that are made to put out its optimal power at higher impedance ratings. With his amp, he will want to go down to 2ohm as his woofer will take up to 1,500w peak.

Any amp will attempt to create more power as you lower the load impedance. Whether-or-not the electronics of the amp can handle that is another issue all together.

Well i havent bought the type r yet. Trying to decided which one to choose for sound purposes

There is no difference in sound quality between the two versions.
You will need the SWR-1042D.
