Poking around and found some awesome deals for us f-bodies:

^^^^ An AMPLIFIED stealth box. If you want to add some extra thump, but don't want to hassle with mounting amps or worry about thieves, this is an awesome choice. Can't find these too much anymore. And if you can, probably $450+.

And maybe the reason I made this topic....... the supreme bang for the buck.

= Death! The D4 O-series is on closeout! AWESOME deal. Rivals the Type-R at now nearly half the price. Scoop em' up before they're all gone! A setup like that would probably put you into the low-mid 140dBs for about $400+ wiring!!!!:drool:

UPDATE!!!! Elemental Designs has just put the 12" dual 4 ohm K-series on closeout as well!! Only $50!

Just when I sell my camaro that mofo makes a pair of stealth boxes and sells it cheaper than 1 box price :mad: .....


But dang they are some kick a$$ pricing right there .... I would jump on it if I needed a system right now ... as for elemental design, I give it two thumbs waaaaaaay up .... they are very good subs ..... good find man...

^^^^^ Call me crooked. But he has all that listed for free shipping. Even though he states buyer will pay shipping.... he listed it as free. I'm sure eBay would force him to uphold his free shipping note. lol

Free shipping is for "local pickup", beyond that the buyer must pay shipping.

Bah. You're right. It does say "Method _____ local pickup". Usually it will say "local pick up only". It won't use the word "free".

The rest are some items/deals you dont see every day though. :)

They'll probably fit. Think there was only a small hand full of the subwoofers that would not fit in the Subthump stealth box. (JL W7 for example)

EDIT: After looking at Subthump's page, it clearly shows pictures with the Type-R installed. And I quote " Practically all 10s will work in this box."

Subthump's are all wood. A special lighter weight MDF last I knew.

Be very carefull with E-bay stealths.

JL makes one of the few stealth boxes, and they track the serial numbers at authorized shops.

One shop by me will take you in, let you sit, they run the serial numbers and if JL has it listed as stolen, the shop "Lets" you discuss them with the police pretty quickly.

Of course, you won't actually get in trouble, you aren't "Knowingly accepting stolen goods", but it's really possible that the police may take possetion of the sub while they're taking possetion of the seller. Evidence and all that.

Just something to consider, personally if I were buying on E-bay I'd ask for a shot of the serial numbers, and have my shop run them before bidding.

JL is far from the only company to make a stealth box for the F-body. And since when did it become a crime to run a woodworking shop and make your own?

For example, Subthump.com has been doing it for years. Many members here has purchased boxes from there and are extremely satisfied. Their boxes fit as perfect or possibly better than the JL. What's to stop someone else from producing the same thing? Don't hate on a good deal. :)
