okay, i know this has probly been gone over thousand times, but i just bought my 99 transam with the monsoon, and as soon as i got it i blew a speaker....now ive alrerady gone through this with my 02 maro, but i went with the just rewire everything and put a big *** sub route, i dont want to go through that on this one, what im looking for is to replace EVERY speaker with a decent aftermarket, i want it to be plug in play with the monsoon, pull out, put in. can someone show me what im needing?

How much you looking to spend? Keeping the factory headunit? You can replace the headunit and retain the use of the Monsoon amp. You can get sweet mounting kits too.

Kind of pricey on those mounting kits if they were cheaper I would think about it.

Well snatch up the dual 4 ohm version of the speakers above and a quality speaker for up front. Again, I dont know how much you're willing to spend, but look into Focal, CDT, DLS, Boston, or Alpine's Type-R line is pretty beefy.

You're not keeping the stock head just to retain use of the steering wheel controls, are you?

I was going to ask the same question, but I currently use the PAC SWI-PS.... and while it DOES work, I'm not entirely happy with it. The buttons are not NEARLY as responsive as stock. You kinda have to press and hold for the PAC module to pick it up and perform the command. Maybe it's just the PAC SWI-PS and the SWI-X would be different, that I do not know. Maybe it's all PAC modules and Peripheral modules would work better, that I do not know. So for someone that's a steering wheel control nazi, he may not be happy with the aftermarket scene.

I have the SWI-X and my factory wheel controls works with my Pioneer just the same as they did with my factory HU.

Sweet. I'd think about switching to the SWI-X, but honestly I'm too lazy to worry about it.
