i'm just gonna go ahead and get behind my little brick wall...

but yea, so right now im in an extremely tight money situation; thank you, $4 gasoline...anyway, all my audio plans are gonna have to go on hold for a while.

i've always liked how the stock speakers have a decently full sound, as in they voice highs well, and actually have a decent amount of low end response for 6.5"s...just dont like that they dont have tweeters, so does anyone know of a 2 -way with a response range close to the stockers? or would i need components for that?

**and yes, i knooooow that if i want driving bass, i need a sub...but i dont want driving bass, rap's not my thing :)

If you're satisfied with stock speakers, but want more highs, why not just add in some tweeters? I picked up a cheap set of Pyle tweeters for $25 that sound good; I'd check out crutchfield and see what they have.

i've always thought they needed some sort of high-passed source, or do they have x-overs w/ them?

Normally they come with high pass capacitors. If they don't, the capacitor to do the job would just be a few cents at radio shack, couple bucks at most.

I would say look at the things at crutchfield but buy else where, the mark up at crutchfield is usually higher than other places

If you really just want a set of tweeters and don't fell like going through the trouble of installing seperate tweets then just by a set of the cheap roadmasters at Walmart. They are only like 15$ a pair. My true advice to you would be just hold out until you can find something decent or just keep an eye on craigslist and see if you can find a decent pair for cheap.
