mines came built in the dvd player but I had to purchase a antenna thats shaped like a L
it hides under the windshield area where the pilliar rest Just remember to buy an digital converter and a inverter so you can plug up the digital converter both of those items should be no more than 50 bucks together. 5 or 10 dollars for the digital converter with the 40 dollar coupon from the government and 30 bucks for the inverter from walmart try the audio section.

Im gonna tell you watching digital tv in your car is like watching cable I think I was the first person to do this in a camaro or at least make a thread about it. My picture quality from when I put the digital converter in has changed everything pictures looks identical to my comcast cable and theres extras I wont spoil the surprise for you but you are gonna love it. Don't forget to get a digital converter because after feb 2009 the tv tuner you are gonna purchase for your car will not work so just get everything you need now and be ahead of the game so when feb 2009 comes your television will still show the same

Had non-digital in the bird..... picture quality sucked. And the antennaS that came with mine were enormous.

I gotta wonder how big the digital converter box is. Because every one that I have seen is slightly smaller than the regular cable box. (Maybe 12"x8"x2" ?) No way you're hiding that in the dash or under the carpet. And if I'm thinking correctly.... you would need a compatible tuner for your headunit, the digital converter, and a power inverter. That's a whole lot of BS for a few channels of cable IMO. Again, no way in hell you're hiding all that.

EDIT: Maybe under the side plastic covers in the rear?

dude all this stuff is hidden thats why they call it a glove box plus the digital converter is small and what I am telling you that I have every channel not a few but every channel all the local channels that come on regular tv. The power inverter is also small my inverter is about the size of a audio tape thats small. I don't understand why you are doubting me everything looks good and all channels are very clear wait till everyone starts doing it then you will see that I wasn't lying and I was one of the first to do it

I'm rockin a 06' GMC Canyon Pick-up now, it's got alot of room under the dash.

Hiding the crap won't be an issue.

Ive looked around on ebay and a few other onlines, and can't figure out what all I need, but Ill check out some audio shops and Radio Shack see if I can find the parts I need.

I have a power inverter, maybe a few...

            So I need

            1. Antenna
            2. Tuner Box
            3. Digital converter

            ?

No reason to get defensive Eric. I was in no way attacking your post. I simply said my non-digital TV sucked ***. The rest was clearly speculation.

The antenna should come with the tuner box.

Yeah you are right my non digital tv sucked even with the antenna thats the point Im making but since I added this digital converter box the picture shows like watching satelite or cable tv with extras I am so happy. Everyone with a tv in thier car needs to upgrade to a digital converter asap you will not be sorry

the DTV convertor box should have a built-in tuner...the Tuner box for the unit will need to stay on one channel for it to work, so you wont be able to change DTV channels with the tv tuner...my dad still hasnt figured this out
