I have an 02 Firebird and this is the wiring harness Best Buy told me to buy. But before i start tearing apart my dash, i just wanted to make sure it was the correct one for the monsoon system.
The way that model number is structured is nothing like the Metra products I sell. Not to say it is the incorrect harness, just that I can't decrypt that particular model number from Best Buy. The Metra number I'm familiar with is 1858. (Proceeded by an "80" if it's a speed harness or "70" if it's bare wires)
I will, however, state that the harness is the same if you have Monsoon or not.
www.metraonline.com is Metra's website. I'd look, but it's says "Server is too busy". :(
EDIT: On the note of speed harnesses. If you have a Circuit City close by, you can get them there. Provided you're installing a Pioneer, Sony, JVC, Eclipse, or Jenson headunit, you can buy the complete speed harness set and save yourself the crimping/soldering/taping/splicing/or whatever method you choose. Two harnesses plug together. Boom. You could have that headunit switched out in literally 5 minutes.
