Okay while installing my digital converter box in my car I must have unplugged something and I can't figure it out but I have an idea.

My problem is that I can watch my dvds but I can't hear them now there is three rcas they are yellow red and white. Whenever I hook up the yellow rca I can watch my dvds but I can't hear them I figure its the red and white rcas because they are not hooked up to anything. I took one of my speakers from my computer outside and hooked one of the rcas to it and I could hear the sound but there isn't anything for me to hook up the white and red rcas to. Is there anything that I can tap into to make my sound come back for my dvd player volume to work again this is really upsetting me because it use to work really good I have a cd player also but the sound works good and loud help please

The yellow video plug is commonly called composite video. The red/white RCAs are for left/right audio signals. Without those plugged in, you'll never get audio out.

What headunit are you using? It has one full set of audio/video inputs (for your DTV) and a second, only video, input? If so, it's probably designed for a rear-view camera or something that doesn't require sound.

Maybe RCA y-cables on each of the connections? Turn the DTV off and then the DVD player on? And vice versa obviously...
