  • remote turn on wire

    im trying to wire my remote turn on for my new amp, but the power antenna wire is completely missing from the harness. what do i do? the amp doesnt work without the remote turn on.
    1999 v6 Camaro M5
    Automatic to Manual converted
    Pacesetter Headers, 2.5" Custom True Duals with X-Pipe and Magnaflow Bullet Muffers,
    !cat, Intake, 3.42's with LSD, MSD Wires, Drilled/Slotted Rotors, Hurst Short Shifter, Tuned PCM

    Wire it to ignition. The amp will turn on/off with the car.

    EDIT: Yellow wire on the factory harness. Red wire in the aftermarket harness(es).

      i did that, but that wire is only pulling 9v...which doesnt sound right lol

        It's not. I don't know where you tapped in, but test for voltage before you tap. Then again after you tap. Maybe try with the car running and the alternator spinning. Maybe your battery is weak as all hell. Don't know what else I can tell you. You know that's not correct.:)

            If you have an aftermarket headunit, the turn-on wire is blue/white coming from headunit.

            If you have the stock headunit and a power antenna, you can use the pink wire.

            If you have the stock headunit and a regular antenna, you can use the yellow wire.

            In order of preference.

              I have a regular antenna, but I found a wiring harness in the trunk for a power antenna (red, black, pink). Hooked it up, but didn't test for volts first. whoops. Crossing my fingers
