      Make one...

I have one sitting around that was custom made to fit my vert. Only thing that sucks is it takes up the whole tiny trunk. If interested, I could get the dimensions for you and draw it up so you could make your own.

In all honesty I would like to sell mine and I would sell it somewhat cheap but I am not going to try and ship it anywhere.

Thanks for the link 96firbird311. Frechles71 if you change your mind about shipping your box let me know, I live in upstate ny so driving to ohio for a box isn't to appealing. but if you want to let me know the dimensions that would be awesome. Thanks alot.

          Re: Convertible Box?

Hey, I have the same dilema. This is my stealth box idea, I have 2 CDT 8" MS80 subs, they require very little cabinet volume (.45) to crank. This said, I plan to utilize the back seat back rest as an enclosure. I never have passengers in the back anyway, how would they fit? So, back to the box, I essentially will consruct a slim-line box that fits inside behind each back rest with the woofer firing through the back rest. In theory, it should work.

I'm still in the planning stages but promise to post pics when I get this winter project rolling soon. Anyone else have stealth box magic in their 'vert?

UPDATE: 11/30/08---Well, after lots of investigating, I have found that in a convertible, the subs should fire against the car and not into the cabin. The reason being that with the top down, the subs will lose their sound pressure. I am now looking into designing a box behind the rear seat back rest that fires towards the trunk. I'll keep you all posted.

This was ment to show off my nitrous system, but you can catch a glimpse of my box. IMHO, the box fits two 10" perfect, although I recomend building it sealed instead of ported liek mine (my box was too small, ports distorted sound. I've since filled them)

Just get some measurements, buy some wood, and take your time.
