I have one 8 inch 4 ohm kicker comp 200 max 100 rms sub and im trying to figure out what kind of amp i need to power this? i also want to be able to hook 2 50 watt PAs to it.
I know this doesnt sound to cool but I just want some base added to my system.
I would just look for a 5 channel amp that has the 4channels for speakers and 1 for a sub and it should have built crossovers for the channels and sub(which most 5 channel amps do) Then you can have some going room for later on. Depends on you budget but ebay has a nice selection of amps. If your on a budget Lanzar, Valor or even HI-fonics whould have some low priced amps with some decent specs.

If that's all you really want it to power, then a 4-channel amp would be ideal. Bridge two of the channels to your 4-ohm subwoofer and use the remaining two channels to power your two speakers.
That is the STYLE amp you need. But Lanzar is a terrible brand name. Flea market, swap meet, garage sale, or pawn shop type stuff. Just because the advertisement says "1000 watts" doesn't mean a damn thing.
Stick with a well known quality brand or advise from an knowledgeable friend. A lot of people haven't heard of Hifonics before, but they are decent. Solid amp without paying for that known name badge on the front.
Lanzar OPTI amps were good in the 90's, but the regular Lanzar I have no clue , but the Hifonic amp looks to be good. I would go with the Hifonics. I still have my PPI amps I bought in 1992, still holding up fine, but I paid a arm & leg for them back then. Its all in how you take care of them and how their wired correctly.
