Wanting to avoid all the problems involved with adding amps ...get them to turn on and off with the radio etc. I found a great solution. I bought the 2 ohm system by Cadence TXC6K
system. The woofer goes in the same place as the GM woofer. I had the tweeters
mounted about 18" above the woofer on the door. They drilled a hole and mounted it flush.
The crossover included is not necessary as the crossover is built-into the Monsoon so you
just connect the wires to the woofer and disconnect the wires to the tweeter located
inside the woofer and run those to the new tweeter. I could not be more pleased
with the bass and high-end. No rattle....
Finally a solution.
