Re: ABS delete and Line lock

Here's the line lock I had on my car (see link below). The other jeg's device (pictured above) is the proportioning valve that I had on my car which I just removed about a week ago.

hmm...how does that proportioning valve work...i.e how do you make adjustments on that one? most of the ones I see have a dial on them?

I removed the plastic dial for safety reasons.

I don't want anyone messing with it when I'm at the track.

The proportioning is controlled by the ABS block. If it is removed then you need to add a proportioning valve to the rear brakes.

This looks like a nice setup and not too expensive. I know a SLP line lock is in my future.

Re: ABS delete and Line lock

                  2 questions:

                  1) what is the size of the front brake lines.

                  2) can I use this combination proportioning valve? http://www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/26...ductId=1284815

Apparently no one here carries a T fitting I can use, just wondering if the above combination valve is basically doing the same thing (it is from what I understand from reading the description)

The dial only adjusts the pressure to the rear brakes correct?

I have my SLP line lock and it came with a 10amp blade fuse , I downloaded the instructions off a site, I just searched for SLP line lock install manual and I found a manual for it in PDF. Letzride, are you going to do a porportioning valve too so you can adjust the front and rear brakes, if so what block did you go with? I still don't understand the line lock, but I might try and mess with it this weekend while going over the instructions. Take some pics if you would , becuase I will need all the help I can since I have never messed with the braking system before, thanks Steve

I'll snap what I can...I got the jegs combination proportining valve I posted earlier...it came with everything I needed, all the fittings etc, and will make the install nice and neat...plus the beauty about it is if I loose my left front brake, apparently I wont loose all my front brakes where I would with a T fitting....it was only like 15$ more then a regular one to...so worth the little bit of extra coin IMO, especially if you factor in that you would need to buy the T, plus all the fittings...

can you give me a link to that manual? I've never messed with these things either, so I'm gunna learn real fast tommorrow...

looks like my line lock casing is pretty loose and moves around...I cant seem to get it to tightend up...is this a problem? Im almost done the hook up, but I dont want to have brake fluid everywhere tommorrow when I go to pour it in, or when I am driving and reef on the brakes...

Is the problem with the wrong fitting size on the line lock or the prop. valve?
