I changed my discs and pads a couple of months ago. Right after I changed them, I could hear that the front driver side was squealing really badly for about a week and a half (it did go away on its own). It did it the worst when making right turns. But it went away and for a while, all was good. A couple of weeks ago, the other side started doing it. And opposite of the other side, it does it the worst when making left turns. Sometimes it will squeal pretty badly when I'm just driving down the road. The weird thing is that when I'm turning right, it will stop making any noise. Anybody else run into this after changing pads and discs? The pads are brand new, so it couldn't be the "squeaker tabs." I have no idea. Any ideas?

Re: Awesome squealing noise
I guess I should clarify, I'm using Hawk HPS pads, if that makes any difference. For how much I paid for them, I'm not gonna go back to an OEM pad. I'll just deal with the squealing, if it's the pads making the noise.Last edited by masonvonritchie; 09-29-2009, 01:29 PM.

Re: Awesome squealing noise
I have hawk HPS brakes also, but ceramic ones. I have not had any squeeling problems. There is a spray on anti-squeal stuff you can put on the back of pads. Been using it for years works great. also anit-squeal brake grease you can put on.

Re: Awesome squealing noise
You guys probably already know this, but just remember with ceramic pads, the rotors will wear fast. Part of the trade off of high temp hard materials like ceramic. Just something to keep in mind if this is your daily driver.
