What parts for the suspension , because the V6 and V8 have mostly the same suspension unless its a 1LE model.

sometimes man those parts are worn out(bushings and what not). i mean suspension parts aren't really that expensive.

^ True , just get some LCA's ,SFC, panhard rod?, shocks and maybe springs. Then your suspension will almost be new, but then you will have to look at the front lower/upper A arm bushing, Trans mount, TQ arm mount, sway bar bushings/endlinks and tie end rods.

Upgrading to ls1 suspension is kinda pointless imo. Won't gain anything like said above its the same pieces. The v8 spings will make u sit higher an give u more of a 4x4 look. Use the money for some tubular lcas and phb like said above.

98 and newer (LS1) cars use the same suspension and brakes as the V6 with the exception of front spring rate. The only differences are the harder bushings use in the 1LE and WS6 cars. The 1LE and WS6 also used stiffer springs than the other V8 cars. Did the OP read anything in the tech database on the web page?

The 1LE front upper /lower A arms are beefer/weigh more along with the LCA's and Panhardrod and springs /shocks. I searched the 1LE site and found alot of info on 1LE stuff, thats why I have 1LE rear springs, their progessive stock height springs 130LBS-170LBS with heater hose mod already done. Brian I fon't think hardy anyone reads the data bases or searches, becuase all the answers are there. Thats how I chose the 1LE springs, plus they were new. Sway bars are all over the place , off of SS's or WS6's 32/19 setup's.

                    Re: LS1 Suspension

well the suspension i found has sway bars for sale..what size would you all recommend? The other suspension parts were the shocks and springs off an LS1 F-Body..so i take it from what everyone said, there's no difference?

                      Re: LS1 Suspension

the front shocks and the springs r differnt which r not valved for a v6. So basically ull b waisting money on the suspension.

                        Re: LS1 Suspension

Needs to be a SS or WS6 to get the 32mm hollow front and 19 solid rear, yes the shocks will be decarbons on the LS1 most likely, so better to look for aftermarket shocks.
