    Re: LS1 Suspension

Whats your goal sraight line or autocross, with a 24mm rear you would want a 35mm front sway at least and will need the shocks and springs to handle it. I have a spare ST 35mm front sway 34LBS, with poly bushings & endlinks. But I wouldn't run the 30 mm front with a 24mm rear thats going to be a great oversteer. 24mm for $40 great price. I run a 32mm hollow front 10lbs wieght , and a 21 mm rear sway with upgraded shocks and springs. Also SFC, and LCA's and panhard rod.

it's just more of a street performance..it's my DD so it needs to run but i found these parts cheap so i figured i'd get a second opinion.

I would def. get a 35mm at least for the front if you run th 24mm rear. Guys autocross with a 35mm front and a 25mm rear bar just to give you an idea of it. Also hows your springs and shocks?

32/19 is a great combination, and available off the ws6 and ss cars. I'm running it, and with the rest of my suspension mods, almost wish I could take just a bit off the rear bar. I would highly recommend AGAINST a 24mm rear bar, regardless of what you're running in the front for a daily driver. If you decide to run the 35mm, a 21mm is as big as I'd go, but like I said, 19mm is plenty enough for me, and any DD car. You want the car to be safe for emergency maneuvers, and not just spin around if you jerk the wheel to dodge whatever it may be.

            Re: LS1 Suspension

I ran my ST 35mm front with a 21mm rear and it was outstanding on the street , but the shocks and springs had alot to do with it too. Now with the 32mm hollow front and 21mm rear I need to adjust the rear shock setting since it has a little understeer in the rear. I want to keep the 21mm bar for the track so thats why I don't want to go to a 19mm rear. I think with the QA-1' s set at #7 in the rear and front at #6 it should handle alot better. I think a 35mm front and 24 mm rear would be alright on the street as long as the springs were a progresive type and some good adj. shocks to dial it it. I always take mine out to back roads and do a handling test to see how it reacts to changes, also pretty fun.

so if you get new sway bars, do you have to get new shocks/springs as well?

Yours is a 02' so your shocks are more stiffer , just depends on the size of the sway bars, a 32mm front and 19mm rear is a great combo shouldn't need shocks unless they are going bad.
