So me and my dad are changing my brake pads and rotors tomorrow. My dad has done this on his imapala and other cars before. Is there anything I need to look out for or do special for these cars?
I plan on going to autozone or o'reilleys to get the pads and rotors, any suggestions on brands?
Everything is fairly straight forward. I don't have any recommendations for what you should get, though. Just be sure to properly burnish the new pads.
Satisfied ceramic or Duralast ceramic are good pads, basicly ceramic pads in general, rotors , blanks are fine. Just use the grease for the pins so they move freely.

Got it done. Duralast gold ceramics greased on the contact points with the calipers. new rotors all around. $250 for everything including 2 cans of brake cleaner. Thanks for the help!
Good to here its always good to have great breaks and rotors. I wasn't paying attention one day on the highway doing 75mph where it came to a complete stop and I slammed the brakes and it stopped great the tires just slid stright for about a 5 ft. and I was still about 2 cars away from the car ahead. This was with R1 Concept drilled/slotted rotors and satisfied ceramic brakes all the way around.

I know on mine since I took the weight off the front about 150+LBs at least and with my stereo in the rear with my Optima Batt. it sits pretty even, I think my car weighs arounf 2800-2900LBS, so that a good benefit too.LOL
