I was looking for this information and could not find it so i figured i would compile it and hopefully help someone else out!

    UMI Performance
    umiperformance.com

    Boxed Version # 2000 - 27.25lbs (2") $159.00
    Tubular Version # 2001-2002 - 24.75lbs (1.750”) $139.00-174.00
    #2003 & #2004 they said "about" 30lbs (1.250”) $279.00-299.00

    BMR Fabrication
    bmrfabrication.com

    SFC001 boxed connectors - 26lbs (2") $159.00

    SFC004 tubular - 15lbs (1.625") $139.99

    J&M Products
    hotpart.com

    2 point tubular - 18lbs (1.750") $137.50

    3 point boxed - 38lbs (size not listed) $194.55

all 3 companies i have talked to have been really nice and honest and say 3 point is a waste of money.. they would for sure use 2 point its not worth the added weight.

Good info. From what I've heard, SLP 3-points are some of the heaviest SFCs. Kenny Brown DD's were also pretty popular back in the day, and are similar to the J&M design. As for the 2-point vs. 3-point, most people are fine with 2-point. 3-point connects are useful when using a shorter tunnel brace mounted Torque Arm.

Awesome. I was looking at 3 point but I guess 2 point will be good enough. Thanks for the comparisons.\
Next up should be how effective each brand is.

I have the UMI tubular weld on version on my 99 'vert and they made a world of difference as the car feels solid now, before the SFC install, my car was kinda noisy with a shaky/mushy feel when pushed hard. Now, burnouts are much easier, especially around corners where the car just drifts for a bit and then hooks (predictably) ...so much fun! Cornering is greatly improved and very solid/tight on rough roads. Best 1st mod for a convertible, almost no cowl shake any more.

I strongly recommend this mod as it greatly increases frame rigidity (GM should have built 4th gen F-bodies with SFC to begin with). I paid $210 for the SFC set and another $50 to have them welded in. My mechanic said all that welding smoked out the shop but am I ever glad he did it right. This mod is worth every cent I paid

Good mod. I couldnt resist the 3 point connectors. Especially since I was welding my cage hoop to them.

i have 2 point tubular j&m sfc's (weld in) and they are by far one of the best suspension mods i could have done. along with my other suspension goodies, the car takes twisties like it's on rails---my 3.8 handles better than my ls1 no questions asked.

I have the 2 point Tub. BMR's sub frame connectors which are nice , bolted them in, then welded them. Great handling and really notice them once driving. I use the jacks on the tub. part for the jacks come in handy.

techsan23, you have one of the cleanest under carriages I have ever seen...not only that, but it appears that your car is set up right too. Please tell me what your car has going on, it looks serious enough

The easiest way to see most of my engine mods is in my for sale thread L36 part out. I spun a cam bearing not too long ago :( A couple of things I am hanging onto right now include the powerdyne supercharger, injectors, hp tuners and methanol injection. I will update sometime on how my LQ4 swap is going, but I dont want to deviate too far from the v6 theme of the site.
