  • springs question

Hey everyone. I'm about to start upgrading my suspension, and I want new springs but don't want to lower the car. I was looking on sumittracing.com and found some moog springs that are stock height replacement. The front are 290 pounds/inch and the rears are 104 pounds/inch. Will these give the car a lifted look? I was looking in the tech database and is says the front rate is 223 pounds, and the rear is 95.5. I know it says stock replacement, but I just want to be sure. Thanks guys.

    Re: springs question

Would these be an ok choice for my setup with a 35/19 swaybar combo? I just ordered a 19mm rear sway off ebay but I don't want to install it till I get my springs set up properly.

Should be stock height or maybe alittle more. But not too much I wouldn't think.

I was going off FirebirdGTs setup with 351 front, and 80/137 rear. I just don't want to lower the car to get springs that stiff. The roads here aren't the best.

I run 1LE rear springs 130-170 progessive rate and it didn't jack the rear up as high than I thought it was, actually gave it a good stance.

Do you think it'll look alright with stock 16" wheels and tires?

I bought the SLP shock/spring package, and I love it. It's certainly a stiff ride, but it's not unbearable. One of the things that helped me choose that package was that it didn't really lower the car. I think it's like 1/2 inch in front and 3/4 inch in the rear. If your car has alot of wear and tear on it, these can actually raise it back up some. I know once I got mine put back together and on the ground, it sat a little higher than I remembered. I don't remember the spring rates, but one of the techs at SLP could tell you.
