Swapping Steering column and dash from 99 to 96

So i just purchased a new interior and steering column from a 1999 a4 v6 Camaro. I have a 1996 M5 Camaro is it possible to swap steering columns without major wire splicing I already have a resistor for the vats so im not worried about that Obviously cruise and that sort of thing wont work. Also can i swap clusters its a digital 120 v6 cluster I have already searched found nothing on swapping v6 clusters it is simple as connecting a power wire to the digital? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You can swap steering columns , I installed a 00' SS M6 into my 96' M5 converted into a A4 , but I had to use a manual steering column since they are all the same and use the same BCM's . The A4 coulmns are different in some years.
