    Re: New tires

They look good but why E.T streets instead of M.T. drag radials. Just my opinion but you should of dynoed to see how much power your making then see what size drag tire to run, unless they are just for show becuase they are going to slow you down because of the rotational mass. There are LS1's with 400 WRHP that will run a 255 M.T. Drag radial and still cut 1.6 60 ft. times. Plus if you DD on those ET streets they are not good in the rain and are unsafe just to let you know. The M.T. Drag radials are the ones for everyday use but still need to be safe in the rain. Are these just for track?

if you are daily driving that tire, that is one expensive tire to drive on...you'll be lucky to see 10,000 miles on those. And as stated I would not be driving in the rain...that wide of a tire with that kinda tread has hydoplain written all over it.

Are those not bias ply tires? I know my ET streets are...they say you should not be mixing bias ply tires with street radials as well...just FYI (although I do mix them at the track, I have just been told to be careful)

        Re: New tires

I forgot about mixing the 2 types of tires also good call , thats why I like the M.T. Drag radials. I have had M.T. streets before which Meatyshells used since they were the wrong height for my front Prostars I bought off of Pathogen.

hmmm. they might be mt streets not for sure

i had this exact pair in 275.40/15 and they were amazing

way better than nittos, and traction in the rain wasnt too bad

i got them for 40$, so i couldnt help it, the last tire i got had less tread than these and it lasted a long time

i have driven a few cars with nittos and i just feel they are nothing compared to the grip you can get from a Mickey

Not yet, but soon yeah it will have a lsd. I'm also on 3.08 gears blah.

And actually, I've had no problems with my tires. Over the stock tires these are amazing.

Nittos aren't even close to the traction of MT drs or ET streets, but nittos are easily the best for DD, longest lasting...and OK in the rain.

Those should look BA on your car.

The metric size of those dictate that they are radial. A bias tire would be sized like 28x12.5x15.

Those actually look like M.T drag radials , since my 275/40/17's look like that, which they would be actually better for ya. The E.T. streets I had just had 2 grooves around the tire.
