I have chrome Z06 replica wheels , I have 17X9.5 in the front and 18X10.5 in the rear.
My rear tires make a weird noise when I hit a bump or there is a dip in the road. I only hear it on the driver side . The DS rear tire is 275/40/18 . And the PS rear tire is 275/35/18. I have a feeling the tire isn't low enough. How can I fix this ? Is the problem my rear bump stops ? If so what do they look like ?
^^ most likely. You can do a visual check for where exactly the tire is hitting, and if you don't see any wear, you may want to do a visual check of your bump stops. 275 is skinny enough not to need rolled fenders generally, but with 10.5" wheels, you'll likely need to get them rolled.
you have 2 different sized tires in the rear? wouldn't that f up your driving?
i doubt its your bump stops even though they do seem to fall apart pretty easy, both of mine are gone and it isnt a problem unless i have people in the back seats.
I bet its rubbing on the inner fenders against the frame. If you pull your left rear off you will probably see one or two shiny spots where it is rubbing. Turning two diff diameter tires can mess up your differential if you have posi; not sure about lsd though. An adjustable panhard rod may get you where you need to be without rubbing the fenders anymore.
I have different sizes because it was an extra tire I had just to get me going till I can replace it with the correct size. My bump stops are gone , and there are no shiny spots . I never had this problem before are yall sure I need my fenders rolled ? What is that any way ?
Edit : I looked and couldn't see where the tire was hitting . Could it be my shox ? They have 186,XXX miles
Sounds more like you are bottoming out and hitting frame to axle. You said your bump stops are missing completely? That could very well be your problem. HerronPerformance has GM White bump stops in stock right now for $75 per set, or 40 each. You can find them cheaper, but GM White will be the best performers.

damn are you serious ? What are the consequences ? How long can I ride on different profile tires with out asking for trouble
I checked and there are no shiny spots. It also makes noise when I make a sharp turn but only when I turn left
you need bump stops and probably an adjustable panhard bar. when i put my 275/40/17's on i had this exact same problem --- my bumpstops were destroyed and i was also getting a loud "scraping" or "rubbing" sound coming from the rear tire when i made a hard left or was cornering aggressively. all i had to do was replace the bumpstops and adjust my panhard rod and i haven't had a single problem since.
when i was having the problem, i could stand at the rear of the car and see that one of the rear tires stuck out further towards the outside of the car than the other --- it was only a little, but every cm counts when you have larger tires. i bet you'll be able to see this too.
