    Re: Rubbing ?!?!?

also, to my understanding, i've heard fbodies should have no trouble running 10.5" rims and 295 tires in the rear without having to roll the fenders --- don't get out that BFH quite yet haha.

I put a few pairs of 275's on Camaros and Trans Ams when I worked at Sears AC with no issues... I do remember on one of them needing to adjust the phr, but they fit fine...

        What is BFHing?

Anyway, I'm 99% sure it's the lack of bump stops that's causing your problem.

when i was having the problem, i could stand at the rear of the car and see that one of the rear tires stuck out further towards the outside of the car than the other --- it was only a little, but every cm counts when you have larger tires. i bet you'll be able to see this too.

Yeah it sticks out and my bump stops are done . Are the bump stops easy ? Do I just take out those two bolts and swamp them out ?

Yeah I ran 10.5 and never had this problem until I got bigger tires

          Big Effing Hammer

          So no G80?

Bump stops are an easy swap, just those two bolts.

That's because this is independent of the size of tires. It may be that the bump stops got knocked off when you installed the new tires or something.

I massaged the inside of the rear fender wells with a sledge hammer. Im sure there is a more proper way to address this issue, but my tires have not rubbed since. The only time my bump stops would get in the way of the rear wheels was when I would raise the car up on a lift. I removed mine, and you can install smaller ones that should clear. Heres your pic of bump stops.
