how do you remove the brake booster on a 4th gen?

i need to use a deep well socket to get it off but the steering column gets in the way of it
has anyone ever removed one before?

I've taken it off and set it off to the side before when doing the shocks on the drivers side. Just remove the 2 nuts and pull it striaght out , it is pretty tough but it will come loose, don't know about the other connections to it , to take it compleltly off becuase I haven't so maybe someone can post more about it.

thats the master cylinder, IIRC there is 4 bolts under the steering wheel that need to be taken off and the brake pedal pushrod needs to come out to get the booster out

I used a deep socket with a swivel joint and a long extension. It's also a great exercise for the neck and back muscles.
