Do you guys prefer the Koni adjustables, or the KYB AGX's. please justify your decisions.

    Re: Shocks

If i had the money i would go with koni over kyb any day. but koni is extremly expensive. my reason for koni would be they have been around for years and are known for their performance, and they also have a lifetime warranty on them. Kyb i have heard alot of good about them then bad, they are much cheaper then koni. however if moneys not an issue id go Koni. but thats my choice.

      Re: Shocks

I don't think anyone will tell you that the KYB AGX's are better shocks. They are not. But they are a much more affordable option for an adjustable shock used on a car with lowering springs. The Koni's are higher quality in every way, will last longer and will perform better, but it comes down to what you want to spend and how much performance matters. I'm very happy with my AGXs knowing full well they are not the best option out there. I wasn't able to justify the cost of the Konis so I made my decision.

I'd give Sam Strano a call and ask him about it. He is more knowledgeable about F-body suspension that probably anyone on this board.

        Re: Shocks

Yea i saw the price on the konis and almost had a conniption. I will more than likley go with the KYB's considering they are cheaper, and i still have the stock shocks on the car (120000 miles.) So the will probably make a world of difference.

I like my QA-1's, had KYB ADJ.'s and Blistiens before to compare to , plus I can change the ride height.

Have no idea what your saying, you can put them at any height since they just turn up the shock. Look at them in a picture and you'll see what I mean.

i think he means how low are the on the lowest setting and how high on the highest, and the difference in ride height between the two.

QA1's if you really wanna get low. I know the $700 QA1 setup probably won't make you happy. You would want the double adjustable setup with rear coilovers, but you're talking buck$.

Yea, definatley no. I will more than likely just go with the agx's in the front and bilstein HD's in the rear considering the rear is at stock height. Or just agx all around.

I'd go Bilstein all the way around if possible.

Are the HD's supposed to be better quality than SLP's version?
