  • rim size check

I found a local deal for some gun metal gray OEM C6 rims with decent tires for a really good price.

However the rim sizes are 18X10 in the front and 19X12 in the back. Are the 19's width too big? The most I've seen is an 11inch width.

Will these fit? 275 tire around the 19inch or do I have to go bigger?

Sorry I don't really know much about the rim sizes.

    Thanks in advance.

I found my answer, you will need spacers and some massaging for it to fit.

Plus I believe the vette wheels are a different offset.

I saw a F body running a 18 X 12" rims with 345's in the rear , look bad@SS had to the bfh in some places but got them to fit and the diameter was like 26.2 I think it was. He was also tubing the rear but still got the 345's to fit.

i cant imagine how damn heavy those 19x12's are compared to stock and how much extra rotational mass you'd have to overcome...

I think it will take spacers, BFH, adj. phb as well to make those fit. Repalcement tires are gonna cost a butt load

Some of the big tires are still cheap , I got my 315/35/17 Sumottos for $106 each and $20 shipped for both, cheaper than the 275/40/17 tires I have now. next time I will go with the Toyo's for $153.

i remember trying to price 295's and 315's when i was looking at 10.5" for the back, and the tires i have now would've ran about 300 a piece @315 --- no way in hell i was dishing out that much for street tires.

                  Re: rim size check

Yep, found another guy with a mint set of chrome 10 spoke SS rims. I'm probably going to go that direction.

Another question - I was going to order a complete set of rims, 17 X 9.5 and 17 X 11 off of OE wheels llc. The fronts are 275 and the rears are 315s, are 315's the only size that will work in the rear?

try 315s for a 19" rim though they must be allot more expensive...even though technically you're getting less tire.
