  • Wider tires to OEM

Will wider tires fit the OEM wheels for camaro 99? I plan to get the same stock, but chrome wheels, and get wider tires.
Camaro99\'3.8, original spoil package (no body mods...PROUDLY), K&N, Lid 3800II, SLP CAI, Flowmaster, Z28Chrome Tips, 180* Thermostat.

245 / 50 was being thrown around earlier. How wide of a tire do you want? Wider you go the more tire roll you'll have, which does dirty, nasty, not exciting things to handling.

245/50/16 is about as big as you can safely go on a stock rim.

Do what I did and find a set of Vette wheels/tires. I nabbed mine last fall for $400...275/40/17 C5s polished with half worn Cooper tires.

One inch wider would be enough for me.

I put 245's on my stock 16" rims and it makes a world of difference. Plus, I upgraded from the stock tires, which were horrible anyway. Just about anything is an upgrade from stock!

Yes boris, $400 for 4 rims/tires...a bargain for sure! Check out craigslist and Ebay. Found mine on Ebay and the seller lived 80 miles away so I emailed him that I wanted to look at them before bidding, I got there, flashed 4 benjamins and brought them home :)
