Have stock v6 one on the front. I have the new ls1 rear going in, it has a z28 bar on it. Should i leave it or swap on my stocker ?

Keep the stock bar in the rear. Its more important to up size the front bar. I replaced the front bar with a 30 mm and polyurethane mounts and end links. A nice upgrade. A few weeks later I replaced the 15 mm rear bar with a 19 mm bar that came with the 30mm front bar. Darn near crashed the car because the oversteer was so bad. Ended up putting back the 15 mm bar.

I strongly recommend you keep the bar that came in the car. Get a larger front bar if you want better handling.

Swapping in z28 and trans am bars can cause problems because they are designed to work with stiffer spring rates, and/or progressive springs. Our V6 springs are not progressive rates, and are lower rate springs.

Depends what size your front is now and what size the rear is going to be , since you have a LS1 in there going by your sig. Are your shocks and springs upgraded or any other suspension mods done?

i replaced my stock swaybars 2 years ago, with 32 and 19mm SS-ones, the same time i replaced the stock shocks with Koni's.
It's a great improvement, much better handling.

idk what the front is. all springs and shocks are v6 things. I guess its wise to keep the stocker on

What would be a nice upgrade is to swap in the LCA's from the LS1 or Z28 because they have the solid rubber bushings and will eliminate wheel hop. Simply replacing the standard soft bushing with a solid rubber bushing makes a world of difference in every day driving too.

I would beef up the suspension since the LS1 is in there, maybe 32 front with a 19 or 21mm rear, I run a 21mm rear but have 1LE springs back there with HAl QA-1's all around. LCA's and relocation brackets is also greaat with subframes.

Re: z28 swaybar ok to use ?

I believe the stock LS1 bar is a 19mm, and your stock bar would be a 17mm. It's not a huge jump, but on an otherwise stock suspesion, I'd probably keep that stock bar on to keep the handling neutral. If you get yourself a 32mm bar for the front, it would be safer to run a 19mm in the back. And if you get stock LS1 springs, 30/19 is the combo they had from the factory, so you could use the ls1 rear bar and your front bar.

1LE is 32/19 and he was running 30/19. I can see how the 30/19 combo was too much oversteer on an otherwise stock suspension.

I later found out this is the same problem other v6 owners had running the 30/19 bar combo. Extreme oversteer. You don't notice until the car is being pushed, then suddenly it oversteers.

The 32-19 is better matched, and the 30/17 is a good match too. Now I keep my eye out for a 17mm rear bar.

1LE can be the 32mm/21mm combo too its what I run with no problems, use to run a ST35mm / 21mm rear but shaved off 23LBS off the front going to a 32mm front but then used 1LE rear progressive springs 130LBS-170LBS with 300LB front springs. But I agree 32mm /19mm on a stock car would be better setup.
