I have cash, I want wide wheels and tires all around. How wide can I go?

    Re: Widest Tires Possible

without going overboard, i would look at a set of staggered 17 x 9.5 up front with 18 x 10.5 out back. 275 width on the front with 295 on the back. any bigger than that and you might as well warm up the BFH and be ready to roll some fenders. but i've heard of a few guys lucky enough to pull off 315's on the back without any modding.

also, keep rotational mass in mind. big rims and tires are heavy. go too big and you'll need an ls1 just to turn them.

You can go as wide as your money will allow. A widebody kit will run you around $2k on ebay, then paint and installation, custom wheels. Get crazy with it!

I agree with ballermaro, & I also know a couple of guys running 315's. Mine are 295's in the rear. You should be able to get away with 315's though, but if you end up changing the overall diameter of the tire I don't think you'll be able to go quite as wide.

The 315's should put an end to any excessive wheel spin you might be experiencing, as well as look B/A. :D

I just did sway bars and phb, shocks and springs are coming, and I know that wide wheels and tires will give me the most improvement.

It depends on the tire, ,my 275 BFG Gforce tires hold better on the road than my 315 Sumittos. Off the line UMI tunnel mount TQ arm was the best improvement. This next time I might try either Toyo proxies 315 or some 335 BFG's.

LT1???? LS1????? I am under the impression that slowside has a 3.4L V6 in his Camaro. Where did you get the idea he has a V8?

                        Re: Widest Tires Possible

My car sits up higher so I won't need to roll the fenders, I have plenty of room since I cut the bump stops out, and run 1LE springs with the QA-1 adj. shocks. Its just the damm price of the 335/35/17's that might have me just go with the Toyo 315's.

Those are the ones I run and they fit decent and fill the space good.
