I recently replaced my front and rear brake pads on my 2000 camaro. I got wagner thermoquiet pads from advance auto parts. I got ceramic for the back and semi metallic for the front. Ok my front rotors are kvr rotor blanks that i have had for a while. However, before installing the pads, I had the rotors turned. The problem is the fronts are making a sshh, sshh, sshh noise when I apply the brakes. It only does it when the brakes get good and warm. The hotter the brakes, the louder the noise.
I took the pads back and exchanged them and I had my rotors checked again to make sure they are not warped. After installing another set of pads, the noise went away for about 300 miles. Now, the noise is back and louder than ever. I took the pads off today and I cleaned the rotors with steel wool and then I washed them with soapy water. I have also cleaned and greased my slider pins. No luck though. Any Ideas? It is so loud, it is embarrassing to drive! Please help!
Thanks!
