  • Lowered, do I have to buy lca relocation brackets?

I lowered my camaro. About 2 years ago 1.25" all around with vogtland springs and tokico shocks. Recently I noticed the inside of the driver side front tire is wearing out unevenly. It's eatin the tread like a monkey eats bananas. My question Is do I just need an alignment or do I need lca brackets. It's the only tire out of the 4 wearing uneven. I didn't get an alignment after it was lowered initially. I was gonna wait til I got the brackets but Now:bowdown: I'm wondering if they are necessary

the brackets arnt gonna help ur alignment up front. it is a good idea to get them anyways. But get ur front squared away while ur at it.

the front would need an alignment or you have some worn bushings in the front. Relo brackets would be for wheel hop in the rear on launches

Sounds like you need an alignment, like said above.

i actually wrecked my car and had to replace the the lower control arm and spindle. about 2 years ago. and i had it aligned afterwards so, i think i might need to get new lca bushings first

2 years ago doesn't mean jack squat. Your alignment can get jacked up the minute you pull out of the alignment shop by a big pot hole or curb. You need an alignment or a front end component is loose. Get it to a front end shop.

Your rear suspension has nothing to do with the front end

LCA relocation brackets are for the rear....you realize this right? not front

X3 , I had to replace all my bushings up front after the allignment shop found all the bushings and Tie end rods bad, they couldn't even allign the front, but didn't charge me for anything , just said once fixed bring it bak and they would do it. Now I have a lifetime allignments through Firestone, if I even drop or raise my car a 1/2" with my QA-1 shocks, I will go and have it alligned. Since I have adj. rear panhard rod and adj. LCA's they even checked those the fist time I went in. I also have relocation brackets and a UMI tunnel mount TQ arm , so everything needs to be checked now and then for pinon angle , and all the bolts so their still TQ right. Also with the relocation brackets you won't need a front allignment, but after you lowered it , you should of had it alligned, I'm surprised your front tires aren't worn more as you say, mine was off for 6 months and it wore down the inner front BFG-G force tires down to where they were smooth($330 in tires do to worn out front suspension).

WTF does a lower control arm bushing have to do with the front eating tires like a monkey eats banana's? You do know your LCA's are in the REAR of the car right, and have absolutely nothing to do with the front, other than a LITTLE bit of the aspect of steering itself? If you have ONE tire being worn out like that, chances are you have a bad ball joint (lower or upper A-arm), tie rod, or all of the above. You need to check the front suspension to see if there are any worn out parts as mentioned above. As 97rs said, 2 years means nothing. I had my Monte Carlo aligned three times in one year, the roads would tear it up. Its just the way it is. But check the parts over, see if anything looks bad, replace then get an alignment.
