So I noticed my car seems to be a hair lower on the rear right side. The fronts are identical. I have new springs/shocks and adjustable panhard. I was looking at it on a lift and noticed my right LCA seems tweaked. I dont think I really need adjustable LCAs, but I do need new ones. Should I go with roto joint ends?

Re: Which lower control arms?
No. If you drive more than 200 miles a year, you want polyurethane. I have QA1 rod ended LCA's on the swap car and they bang around something awful.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.chitownracing.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.chitownracing.com</a>

Re: Which lower control arms?
depends on the use of the car. I run UMI non-adj. with poly bushings and it is just fine. Other guys hate them because they feel they will bind for autocross applications. I don't do high speed cornering so I could care less
btw which spring/shock setup? Adjustable at all?

Re: Which lower control arms?
@Bird_Of_Prey,
Do you think they will bang around even if regularly greased? I remember reading some time ago that non-roto joint style ones are pointless over stock, but not sure if that was true. The basic poly ones sure are cheap which makes them tempting for me now. I have a roto joint panhard and that seems to be holding up well with regular greasing. It's a project car so I don't normally daily drive it. But yes I do drive more than 200 miles a year. Right now I drive it 80-100 miles a month tops.
@97rs4life,
It's mainly a pleasure driving car/project. I do enjoy a spirited attack of a corner a little too much for my own good. Here is my current setup:
1. Bilstein SLP shocks from Strano Performance Parts.
2. Hotchkis 1″ lowering springs, progressive rate, front 285-525 lb/in, rear 100-140 lb/in, from Strano Performance Parts.
3. UMI panhard bar, double adjustable, from Strano Performance Parts.sigpic

That's the type of end I'm talking about. I've had LCA's on a couple cars with these ends and they constantly make noise.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.chitownracing.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.chitownracing.com</a>

Re: Which lower control arms?
The stock lca's flex. Just about all of the aftermarket options will decrease or eliminate wheel hop caused by the stock lca's. I have lakewood boxed tubing control arms w/ poly bushings and havent noticed any binding.

Yup, I have new Pavlock aluminum LCA's that have been greased up real good, and any large bump sounds like the rear is gonna fall out.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.chitownracing.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.chitownracing.com</a>

Re: Which lower control arms?
I had UMI rod ends, they were awful for a daily driven car. If you're willing to deal with the noise then go for it, but I ended up going stock LCAs, with new bushings and LCA relocation brackets.

Re: Which lower control arms?
I have poly eveywhere on my car except 1 end on my tub. front arm which is a rod end, it made some noise at first but I put a gob of lithuim grease on it and after awhile it got better. My BMR chromoly LCA's are poly on both ends and the only problem is when the bolts get loose sometimes and make a popping sound, then I know I need to tighten it back down. I did get some upgraded 10.9 bolts for the LCA's will install them soon. Aslong as you grease the poly about twice a year they should hold up great , my poly BMR LCA's and Panhard rod are 10 years old and still doing great.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

NOT ****ING AGAIN!!
How many times do I have to explain this!
http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=100419
There is nothing wrong with STOCK LCA that either Moog (solid rubber) or ES (poly) bushings can't fix.
The LCA are SUPPOSED to flex!
Going over bumps, etc will create bind - over-stressing the attachment points.
Why do people continue to buy into the aftermarket hype :bs: ??
Boxed or tubular LCA are for DRAG racing - not the street.

Re: Which lower control arms?
^ x2 on what the boss said...
Wheel hop is typically created by bad or worn shocks, worn LCA bushings, or the improper length and/or mounting point torque arm.
Someone on either this board or FTV6 had a set of stock LCAs with Moog bushings for sale a while ago. See if you can find those as replacements.'99 Camaro

My LCA on the right side is damaged. A bushing wont fix my issue. I have no wheel hop problems whatsoever, my shocks/springs are in excellent (near new) shape.
I was simply asking what aftermarket part would be the best as a replacement for my tweaked LCA so my car sits level.sigpic
