Ya, tell me about it...problem is, is I have nothing that would ever get the caliper as hot as what braking would...I know the car hasnt been driven in awhile though as he had no brakes (his rear brake lines were busted)

ok, sanded the pads down and they fit on nicely now...Next issue...how the hell do I get that parking break thingy back on? More specifically the spring? (haynes sucks) I know how to attach the bracket to the caliper...no idea what the big spring is used for, or how exactly it goes back on...pictures might help me here...
also, in the box with the new calipers was a metal looking "H" piece...where the heck does this go?/ what is it for?

I can't help you with pics I have a 2001.
The metal "H" is a shim to help quiet brake noise and pad chatter,I never used them on my 94 or 95.
any shim I add will result in more pad shaving...Anyone else know how this spring goes together? It has a huge round thing on the end of this bracket to...I dont even see a need for this to be honest...but Im also not 100% sure how this stuff works...

It lays in the bottom of the caliper,on top of the pads.
