    Re: 275/40/17 tires

I apologize for questioning the offset so hard but this is likely going to be a $800 decision for me, so by acceptable range you are saying that I can run 275's on a rim with a 38mm offset and it will not rub?

The 38mm offset will place the tire farther away from the car than a 50mm offset. So if you are rubbing on the inside, a 38mm offset should solve you problem. If you were rubbing up against the fender lip, you would want a 50mm offset or more.

Can you post pics , then we'll get a better idea of what your talking about , but ^ that pretty much explains it, I'm running 17 X11 ZR1 rims in the rear with 315/35/17's. I had to cut the bump stops off but my springs/shocks are very good. Are you lowered , if so how much? Might want to raise the car up. I will be fitting 335/35/17's tires on there next. But mine is raised up in the rear with 1LE springs and QA-1 adj. shocks.
