I just developed a new issue with my steering. Now if I crank the wheel to any one side it makes a squeaking noise...to me it sounds like it is tire noise (like squeaky rubber) on the pavement, however it seems to also make this sound with the tires on grass/gravel.
The sound cannot be heard any other time except when you crank the wheel and it is high pitched. I cant see anything that looks like it might rub...
Back ground info...My power steering fluid was low 2 weeks ago and I refilled it, it seems to be ok as far as the fluid level is concerned as of right now...any Ideas what this might be? Ive tried looking for the culprit with the hood popped and someone cranking the wheel...I havent had a chance to jack the front end up and crank the wheels yet...
