  • m8 x 1.25 bolt for power steering pump help!

i have a 99 v6 3.8 and every time i started the car i would hear a clanging sound. at first i thought it was the steering rack i was in need of changing it. i finally changed out the steering rack and while i was down there i noticed that the power steering pump was very loose, i mean you could practically move it with your hand.
the culprit was the power steering pump and i removed it only to find out that one of the bolts securing the pump was broken off into the engine. i was wondering if anyone knows where i can order that specific part number or maybe find a substitute bolt to replace that one?

Just go to Homedepot or lowes. As long as you have the size you need, we have a Ace hardware here which is outstanding for new bolts for anything.

do you guys have a brafasco? or any special bolt place? you can go there...I would just make sure you get a grade 12 or at the very least a grade 8 bolt...they should have everything you need...not sure if homo depot actually has grade 8 or grade 12 bolts...they might just be 4 or 6 grade...
