i finally decided i need to replace my shocks. These are the 2 im looking at. there both around the same money. Is there a way that you can level the car out(make the rear drop a few inches)?
Of the two, the Konis are the better shocks, but I would check with the ebay seller - it looks like he's selling a set of four, but in his description it says the auction is for a front set...kind of contradictory. $400 for a set of 4 new Konis would be a great deal, I would snatch those up if that were the case.
As far as lowering the rear, you need lowering springs to do that; the shocks have nothing to do with the ride height.
Theres also QA-1's which will let you select your ride height. Or even a ground control setup. I love my QA-1's, paid about $800 for the set but it was worth every penny.

do they make a spring just to lower the rear? I have the ground effects kit on my car so i cant lower my front anymore. I dont need the qa-1's, as much as i like them.
The Konis and stock springs would allow for better handling and a more comfortable ride. You could even do the heater hose mod in the rear to help lower it 1/2".
Unfortunately it looks like the link for the Konis is only for the front pair. You would need to get the rear set in either an on-car adjustable version or off-car adjustable version.

Yes, you can buy just the rear springs - check Summit Racing (among others), they sell the BMR, Global West, and Eibach springs in pairs.
That would depend on if it was an LT1 spring or LS1 spring, seeing as the LS1 is a lighter engine than the 3.8l V6.
I'm not so sure; BMR doesn't even make a separate spring for the V6. I have a pair on the front of my car, and they lowered it something like 1/4" to 3/8" IIRC, yet they advertise that they will drop the front 1.25" (on a V8 car). But no, they definitely didn't lift the car. Since I wasn't really looking for much drop in the front, that was fine by me.
The Eibach Pro-kit springs I have on the rear did drop the car about 1-1/4", but the soft rate of the progressive rate is just too soft IMO. I'm going to switch to a linear rate spring in the rear as soon as I get the chance.
will it matter with the ride if i have lower springs in rear. also can we use v8 springs
If you're talking about 98-02 springs, they have the same rates as your rear V6 springs and won't do anything different. V8 springs in the front will raise it up.
Mixing and matching springs without knowing the rates and how they work will lead to a car that has unpredictable handling. Using lowering springs with a stiffer rate in the rear with stock front springs will make your car sit funny and won't handle as well as the same spring all around. I used Konis and Strano springs in the rear for a month, and it left the rear of the car feeling tight compared to the sloppy front stock suspension. Not to mention the "static full throttle launching" stance looked stupid.
Like I mentioned earlier, you'd probably be best off using either Koni or Bilsteins with your stock springs and doing the heater hose mod in the rear to give it a slightly lowered look, without ruining your front ground effects. You'll get the benefit of better shocks, while still retaining a good predictable spring rate that is still comfortable driving around town.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
