I screwed up and bought P215/60R16 Tires for 16 X 8 rims and now I am wondering if it is ok to go with them. I know that Tire Rack recommends up to a 7.5 wheel width, but will a half inch matter? I don't care about the .1 dia difference, more worried about safety. Please give me your advice. I would love to hear from a tire guy.
Not at all. I bought some cheap *** tires off craigslist that were 225/60/16 they work fine. You will be ok. But 215's suckkkkkk.
So I bought std tires for 16 X 7.5 steel Camaro wheels and f'ed up forgetting she had Z28 16 X 8 chromes on her car now. How retarded will this look. Any one done this before? Pics?
i have 225-45-15 tires on my other car with 15x7 rim
Wait, Is that a V6 or V8? 1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd
1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc 2000 Camaro 3.8L Auto Bolt Ons..etc
I bought my car with 225/60/16 tires. They were the worst tires I've ever owned, but I'm unsure how much of that was the size vs. the brand and model. I will say there was a huge visual improvement when I got new 245/50/16 tires though.
The above is the 16 X 7.5 wheel so if those are 220/60-16 they are actually over sized from the recommended 215/60-16. I will say the second picture does look way better.
Yea that tire size isn't real good, I actually had a couple different tire sizes on my car when I bought it and it didn't feel good. So I waited a little and bought some new rims that were p275/35zr/18 and that size feels much better than before in handling and overall feel of the road.
im running 225/60/16.. its a pretty meaty tire, but with all of the poholes around here you have to go with something like that unless you want to be getting your bent rims fixed every winter

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
