My stepmom bought those for her 2004 Cavalier, but hasn't put them on yet cause the stockers still have a little life left.
I wouldn't expect them to be some kind of super high performance street tire... the sidewalls were pretty soft on the set my stepmom bought. If you read the reviews on tirerack, most of the people who buy them drive economy cars or minivans. Even goodyear says:
The Goodyear Assurance radial featuring TripleTred Technology is a premium Passenger All-Season tire designed to take on Mother Nature to give the drivers of family coupes, sedans and minivans peace of mind for any driving condition.
dorkins,
tirerack.com has reviews and ratings for different tires. You can compare the tread life, snow traction, price, etc. against other tires that fit your car.
Goodyear does make some good all season tires, but I have no experience with their assurance tire.
I just bought these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=1
and they're supposed to be excellent in all seasons. However, that dry traction rating should be lower in my opinion. They're a very quiet and comfortable tire.
By the way, stock sizes vary, so if you give me a size and what is most important to you (dry traction, etc.) I can recommend something for you.
I wouldn't use those tires, much less any good for one years. Checkout tirerack.com and stay away from cumho and goodyears.

I do not understand why people do not like Goodyears. I run them on all three of my cars. Great traction and great wear on the F-body. Maybe some people have had bad luck, but that happens with any brand.
SpeedingFirebird,
You must remeber that most of the cars in this forum came with Goodyear Eagle GA's which were flaming pieces of... well, you get the idea. So, most of us had to do a lot of reseach to find something that sucked less.
The higher-end Goodyears (GS-C's, F1's, etc.) tend ro be pretty good pieces of rubber, but they suck on the bang for the buck meter. Most of us have discovered that we can find lots of other brands that deliver equal (if not greater) performance for a whole lot less cash. I personally run Pirelli P7000 SuperSports.
1997 Camaro, Y87 Perf. Package, iRotor Drilled & Slotted Brakes, Bilstien Shocks, Custom drive shaft, K&N Filter, & Mobil 1 synthetic. 202+K miles and still drives like new.<br />-If you can\'t stomp \'em in the straights, kill \'em in the corners...
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
