    will a strut tower brace for a lt1 or v8 fit for a 3.8? I know dumb question.

    I think all V8 braces fit the v6 but not all V6 braces fit the V8. but there are plenty of V6 braces for sale so why get one for a V8?

      Not dumb at all.

      Many (most? all?) V8 braces foul the high alternator of the V6.
      2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs

        you need one for a v6 or 96-97 ss.
